Welcome to Zion Lutheran Christian School

Founded in 1999, Zion Lutheran Christian School (ZLCS) offers a quality education rooted in Christian practices, teaching and attitudes.

Why You’ll Love It Here

Zion Lutheran Christian School offers a Christ-centered education for families of all backgrounds. As a Kindergarten to Grade 7 day school, we combine strong academics with Christian values in a caring, inclusive environment.

As part of the Lutheran Church–Canada, we’re proud to be part of a respected network of schools across North America. At Zion, students grow in faith, learning and community.

Teachers at our school have the opportunity to work in an environment where their colleagues support them through daily prayer and job sharing. Teachers can hone their skills in small, multi-age classrooms.

What We Value

Responding to the Word of God, we educate our children as whole people by placing Christ in the centre of every part of their lives.

Our Core Values:

  • Faith: Rooted in God’s Word, sharing Christ’s love in all we do.
  • Family: A welcoming, diverse and caring community.
  • Academic Excellence: High standards and ongoing professional growth.
  • Home-School Partnership: Education as a shared journey with families.
  • Individual Worth: Every person reflects God’s creation.
  • Safety: A secure, nurturing environment.
  • Service: A heart for serving God, others and the community.
  • Integrity: Acting with honesty and in students’ best interest.

What Makes Us Unique

At Zion Lutheran Christian School, small class sizes and a strong foundation in Christian faith set us apart.

Teachers at ZLCS thrive in a faith-based, family-oriented setting where strong home-school connections and small class sizes allow for meaningful one-on-one support.

Our School Community

We pride ourselves on a warm, family-like atmosphere where every child feels known and supported.

Small class sizes allow teachers to build meaningful connections with students and their families, fostering a close-knit, caring environment.

Life in Prince George

Prince George, located on the traditional territory of the Lheidli T’enneh and Carrier Sekani First Nations, is B.C.’s Northern Capital — a welcoming, diverse city with a small-town feel and affordable living.

Outdoor enthusiasts thrive here, with year-round access to hiking, skiing, swimming and more. Our school embraces this setting through weekly nature walks and outdoor learning.

The city also offers vibrant arts, family-friendly amenities, and top-tier education through UNBC and the College of New Caledonia. With excellent healthcare and a strong sense of community, Prince George is a great place to live, learn and raise a family.
