Welcome to Southridge School

Southridge is a co-ed, independent day school in South Surrey, BC with 680 students enrolled in Kindergarten through Grade 12. Founded in 1995, our school’s vision is to be “a community where every spirit soars.”

Why You’ll Love It Here

At Southridge, we value character as much as academics, helping students develop integrity, compassion, and confidence that will serve them throughout life.

Our supportive environment encourages exploration, creativity and the pursuit of passions through our Arts, Athletics, Service and Co-curricular programs, creating a well-rounded educational experience.

We are also a great place to work. We invest in professional development, support well-being and foster a collaborative community where staff can grow, stay active, connect with peers and contribute meaningfully to the broader school community.

What We Value

Our mission is to develop well-rounded students with integrity, confidence and a love of learning. We encourage each student to:

  • Be lifelong learners that develop strong thinking and communication skills
  • Collaborate effectively and think independently
  • Maintain a positive attitude and pursue their passions
  • Uphold truth, tolerance, compassion, and respect
  • Value community service and personal wellness
  • Appreciate the arts and lifelong physical activity

In short, we aim to nurture individuals who make a meaningful difference in the world.

What Makes Us Unique

We take a student-centred approach, offering authentic, experiential learning across the curriculum. Our programs and vibrant culture foster leadership, character and essential skills that empower students to reach their full potential.

Our well-equipped campus includes libraries, gymnasiums, science labs, art studios, music and computer rooms and a Great Hall. The Senior School adds a media arts lab, weight room, fitness studio and cafeteria. A stone circle and garden provide reflective space, and our grounds feature three natural turf fields and one artificial turf field.

Our School Community

Southridge brings together students, faculty, staff, families and alumni, united by the values of truth, tolerance, compassion and respect. For many, the school feels like home.

Our community is committed to making a difference through initiatives such as the Surrey Urban Mission lunch program, Project Backpack for homeless youth, Christmas hampers for young mothers and international service trips.

Teachers inspire learning across arts, athletics, academics and service, serving as mentors and role models both in and beyond the classroom. Our dedicated staff provide expert leadership and administration, contributing to a vibrant, diverse community united by shared values and a common purpose.

The Community

South Surrey, on the Semiahmoo Peninsula, is a vibrant coastal community with quality housing, growing infrastructure and easy access to nature. Southridge sits on a 17-acre campus with 100,000 sq. ft. of modern facilities, minutes from White Rock’s beaches and near Highway 99 and the U.S. border.
